This study aims to examine the profile of local durian farmers, analyze production risk levels, identify constraints and solutions, and assess the influence of production factors such as land area, seedlings, labor, organic fertilizers, chemical fertilizers, and pesticides on the production of local durian (Durio zibethinus L.) farming in Tonjong District, Brebes Regency.
The research employs a quantitative descriptive method, utilizing both primary and secondary data. Sampling was conducted using Simple Random Sampling with a total of 40 respondents. The data analysis applied includes quantitative descriptive analysis, specifically the production risk level formula, and the multiple regression function analysis to determine the influence of various variables on local durian production.
The results indicate that the majority of local durian farmers are aged 46 to 61 years, predominantly male, with elementary school education, having 1 to 3 family dependents, and cultivating durian trees that are 31 to 40 years old. The production risk level was found to be 0.3. The most common constraints faced by farmers were pests and diseases. The t-test results show that the variables of land area, labor, and chemical fertilizers have a significant impact on durian production in Tonjong District, Brebes Regency.
