Abstract

Dissemination of information about tourist objects in Cilacap Regency is
currently starting to develop and is starting to utilize information technology
through the website. The information provided is still limited to only brief
information about existing tours. Therefore, people who want to visit tourist
attractions in Cilacap will certainly experience difficulties because there is no
location information and the distance that must be taken to get to the destination
tourist location, so that many tours end up being less popular among the public.
Dissemination of tourist attraction information in Cilacap district will certainly be
more accessible to the public by utilizing rapidly developing information
technology, namely Geographic Information Systems and Mobile technology. With
this geographic information system, it can help the presentation of a more
interactive map, where users can access complete geographic information only by
using Android Mobile and the internet network. This type of research includes
software engineering research for system development, namely the Geographic
Information System for Tourism Objects in Cilacap Regency based on Android
which can better present tourist attraction information. This research is a
qualitative research using the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method
with a waterfall approach. The stages of this waterfall method include
communication, planning, modeling, construction, deployment. The result of this
research is the application of the Geographic Information System of Cilacap
Regency Tourism Objects can run well according to the purpose. Applications can
be created and completed properly. Applications can help the public to find out
what tourism is in Cilacap. Applications can be a medium for mapping or collecting
data on tourist attractions in Cilacap.
