Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the optimal dosage of bat guano
fertilizer and the concentration of Gandasil D that most positively affects the
growth and yield of eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). The research was conducted
from March to June 2024 at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture
and Fisheries, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, located in Karangsari
Village, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency. The study employed a randomized
block design (RBD) experimental method with two treatment factors. The first
factor was bat guano dosage (G), consisting of three levels: G0 (0 tons/ha), G1 (2
tons/ha), and G2 (4 tons/ha). The second factor was Gandasil D concentration (D),
comprising three levels: D0 (0 g/l), D1 (2 g/l), and D2 (4 g/l). The parameters
measured included plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter, number
of productive branches, flowering onset, number of flowers, flower-to-fruit
conversion rate, number of fruits, and fruit weight. The results indicated that the
combination of 30 g/plant bat guano and 4 g/l Gandasil D fertilizer effectively
improved plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, stem diameter, number of
productive branches, flowering onset, number of flowers, flower-to-fruit conversion
rate, and number of fruits. However, it did not significantly enhance fruit weight.
