Monotonous teaching and learning activities are one of the factors that cause low student interest in learning. Therefore, to form students' interest in learning, interesting learning media such as Smart TV media are needed. The purpose of this study was to determine how the use of Smart TV media in shaping students' interest in learning Akidah Akhlak Special Path Program at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Purbalingga, Purbalingga Regency.
This research uses a qualitative approach that is presented descriptively, namely describing an event, incident, or symptom that is happening. Research data on the use of Smart TV media was obtained using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation.
This study shows that the use of Smart TV media in Akidah Akhlak learning is proven to be able to shape students' interest in learning effectively, where the use of Smart TV media makes students happier in teaching and learning activities, because teaching and learning activities are not monotonous which only listen to lectures from the teacher. In addition, students are also more enthusiastic and enthusiastic in teaching and learning activities, and students are also active in discussions.
