This research, titled "Types of Conversational Implicature with Moral, Ethical, and
Decency Content in The Sungkars YouTube Channel Podcast Episode with Ustadz
Syam for August 2023," aimed to describe the types of conversational implicature
with moral content in The Sungkars YouTube Channel podcast episode featuring
Ustadz Syam for August 2023, focusing on utterances that either adhere to or
violate the principle of cooperation in conversation. This study was a qualitative
descriptive. The data utilized were the utterances between Ustadz Syam and Teuku
Wisnu in the podcast on The Sungkars YouTube Channel for August 2023. The data
source was the podcast video on The Sungkars YouTube Channel for the episode
with Ustadz Syam, uploaded on August 24, 2023, and downloaded from
www.YouTube.com. The data collection method involved the listening method,
starting with the tapping technique, followed by the Free Listening Involvement
Speaking (SBLC) technique, recording technique, and note-taking technique. Data
analysis methods employed pragmatic and referential matching methods. The basic
technique used was the Comparative Matching Technique (HBS). The presentation
of the data analysis results is informal. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded
that there were 21 conversational implicature data points: 14 data points were
types of implicature of statement, 6 data points were types of implicature of
question, and 1 data point was a type of implicature of an order, all with moral,
ethical, and decency content. Implicature was realized through the principle of
cooperation. The principle of cooperation discovered included violations and
adherence to the maxims of quantity, quality, relevance, and manner.
