Abstract

The use of Javanese Krama language is decreasing day by day due to the
lack of introduction and habituation to communicate using Javanese Krama
language from an early age. Krama Javanese has an important role as an effort to
build the character of students because it has noble values and manners. This study
aims to analyze the implementation of the seneng basa Jawa program in instilling
local wisdom values and analyze the supporting factors and inhibiting factors in the
implementation of the seneng basa Jawa program at SDN 1 Tlahab Kidul. This
research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological
method. The implementation of the seneng basa Jawa program at SDN 1 Tlahab
Kidul consists of three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The
results of this study indicate that the Javanese language program at SDN 1 Tlahab
Kidul can instill local wisdom values in students, including the value of continuity,
the value of creativity, the value of beauty, the value of safety, the value of language
neatness, the value of patience, the value of durability, the value of skills, and the
value of art. The implementation of the seneng basa Jawa program has supporting
factors including the school's consistent efforts in implementing the program,
support from parents, and the role of creative and innovative teachers in
implementing the seneng basa Jawa program at school. The inhibiting factors for
the implementation of this program are the lack of confidence and awareness of
students to use Javanese manners, and the habituation of speaking Javanese
manners is only carried out every Thursday.
