Abstract
Enhancing Fine Motor Skills Using the Collage Method with Grains in Group A (first-year students) of TK (Kindergarten) Muslimat NU Salafiyah Wangkelang. The purpose of this research was to enhance children's confidence in participating in the learning process and to improve the fine motor development of early childhood in Group A of TK Muslimat NU Salafiyah Wangkelang. This research constitutes Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, each comprising two sessions. The research data were obtained through direct observation, interviews, and documentation methods applied to the research subjects, namely, the children in Class A of TK Muslimat NU Salafiyah Wangkelang. There were 15 children, comprising seven boys and eight girls. Subsequently, the research data were analyzed incrementally using a descriptive qualitative method to determine the percentage of improvement from the initial study, Cycle 1, and Cycle 2. After the analysis, the findings indicated a significant improvement in the development of children's fine motor skills. At the initial stage, based on the observations conducted at TK Muslimat NU Salafiyah Wangkelang, there were indications of suboptimal fine motor development in learning, evidenced by 15 children. Among them, seven children (46%) were categorized as not yet developed in pasting grains, five children (34%) showed initial progress in distinguishing types of grains, two children (13%) demonstrated expected progress in pasting, and one child (7%) showed exceptional progress in sorting grains from small to large.
