This study aims to describe the poetry writing ability using videos of the beauty of nature for Eighth grade students (class A) at MTs Maarif NU 1 Karanglewas, Banyumas Regency. This is a qualitative-quantitative research. The data are the results of students' poetry writing ability tests in each cycle. Observation, tests, and documentation were used to collect data. The sources of data were teachers, students, and observers. This research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation/observation, and reflection. The results of this study indicate that there is an improvement in the average value of student's understanding of writing poetry using natural beauty video media. During the first cycle, the average student score was 67.8%, while during the second cycle, the student's average score was 79.57% (KKM score was 75). An improvement also occurred in the enthusiasm and motivation of students in participating in learning, with a full sense of responsibility, in completing assignments given by the teacher.
