Abstract

This Classroom Action Research entitled “Enhancing Children’s Cognitive Abilities through the Method Of Classifying Paper Cubes at TK (Kindergarten) B Al Hidayah Pasuruhan, Cilacap Regency” aimed to improve students cognitive abilities. The research subjects were 15 students from class B (second year students) of TK Al Hidayah Pasuruhan Cilacap Regency. The research was conducted over two cycles: Cycle I and Cycle II, following the research steps of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection utilized observational techniques, while data analysis employed descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The study was conducdted collaboratively with a peer named Kiki Nofiyani, S.Pd, serving as the teacher at TK B Al Hidayah Pauruhan. In terms of improvement action from the initial conditions, the number of childern progressing as expected and showing excellent development was initially 3 childern (20%). Subsequently , in cycle I, this increased to 11 children (73,3%), consisting of 10 childern progressing as expected and 1 child showing excellent development. In cycle II, the number of childern progressing as expected and showing excellent development further increased to 14 children (93,3%), comprising 9 children progressing as expected and 5 children showing excellent development.
