The value of responsibility in the "Cincin 2 Surga" novel by Rachma Nhs is
described in this research. The method used a qualitative descriptive method
with the novel as the source. The research data consisted of quotations
regarding the value of responsibility in the novel. Data collection techniques
included reading and note-taking. The analysis technique in this research was
conducted through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and
conclusion. The value of responsibility was categorized into three:
responsibility to oneself, society, and God. There were 30 instances of data
found in this research. Responsibility to oneself was found in 20 instances,
including responsibilities such as keeping promises, proving seriousness, not
depending on others, completing household chores, accepting one's choices,
complementing each other, apologizing, taking care of each other, paying
debts, supporting partner's decisions, staying focused and confident,
prioritizing obligations over ego, professionalism in work, and fulfilling rights
and duties. Responsibility to society was found in only one instance: the
responsibility to be friendly and considerate of others' feelings. Responsibility
to God was found in nine instances, including responsibilities such as fulfilling
religious obligations, trusting and being content with Allah's decisions,
sincerely accepting Allah's decree, and learning and deepening one's religious
knowledge.
