This study aims to examine children's fine motor skills development through batik activities at a
kindergarten called TK (Kindergarten) Pertiwi in Kalikudi. The study was conducted using a qualitative
method and a classroom action research (CAR) approach. The study was held at TK Pertiwi Kalikudi, with
20 child participants, consisting of eight males and twelve females. The study was carried out over two
cycles, each involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The initial data analysis
revealed that five children (25%) had not yet developed, ten children (50%) began to develop, and five
children (25%) developed as expected. In Cycle I, two children (10%) had not yet developed, six children
(30%) began to develop, ten children (50%) developed as expected, and two children (10%) developed very
well. In Cycle II, three children (15%) began to develop, eleven children (55%) developed as expected, and
six children (30%) developed very well. In conclusion, there was an improvement in children's fine motor
development, with increases to 60% in the first cycle and 85% in the second cycle.
