The research entitled "Illocutionary Directive Speech Acts in Sekar
Kemuning Daycare Center (TPA) in Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency" aims
to describe the types of illocutionary directive speech acts that occur in learning
and playing activities in TPA Sekar Kemuning. The data source for this research is
the teachers at TPA Sekar Kemuning, Kembaran District, Banyumas Regency. The
researcher used three stages of research: data preparation, data analysis, and
presentation of the results of data analysis. In the data preparation stage, the
researcher used basic techniques such as observation nonparticipatory and notetaking.
In the data analysis stage, the researcher used the distribution and
equivalent method. In presenting the results of data analysis, the researcher
presented the data in an informal manner while still using technical terminology.
There are six types of illocutionary directive speech acts found in learning and
playing activities, namely questions, requirements, prohibitives, advisories,
permissives, and requestives. The total number of illocutionary directive speech act
data found is 178: 55 questions, 30 requirements, 23 prohibitives, 5 permissives, 5
advisories, and 60 requestives.
