Abstract

A virtual tour is a digital experience that enables users to explore and visualize a particular place or environment, as if being physically present. It encompasses images, 360-degree videos, and interactive information to provide users with an immersive experience of the designated location. In the context of developing a virtual tour for Campus II Soepardjo Roestam at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, the objective is to offer a comprehensive overview of the facilities and campus life without the necessity of physical presence. The university develops as the largest private higher education institution in Jawa Tengah, garnering interest from prospective students across cities, islands, and even overseas, aided by its Excellent accreditation status. The virtual tour application aims to create a profound and informative virtual experience for prospective students and visitors, presenting a comprehensive portrayal of campus facilities, academic departments, and other crucial areas. This project involves the design and implementation of a user-friendly virtual tour platform to enhance accessibility and promotion. The virtual tour application is developed using Unity software and presented as an Android application, employing the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) methodology.
