The research entitled "Comparison between Vocabulary in the Dialect of
Rejamulya Village, Kedungreja District, and the Dialect of Bantar Village, Wanareja
District, Cilacap Regency" aims to describe the comparison of Javanese dialect
vocabularies in two aforementioned villages. The research employed a qualitative
descriptive approach. The data used in this research consisted of spoken language
gathered directly from native speakers of the research area, namely Rejamulya Village
and Bantar Village, comprising 12 fields of vocabulary meaning: (1) parts of the
human body, (2) pronouns, (3) kinship system, (4) houses and their parts, (5) time,
seasons, natural conditions, natural objects, and directions, (6) clothing and jewelry, (7)
positions, village governance, and occupations, (8) animals and pets, (9) plants, fruit
parts, and their products, (10) activities, (11) illnesses, (12) numbers and
measurements. The research consists of three stages: data collection, data analysis,
and presentation of the analysis results. The data collection stage employs the spoken
method with the mutual speech technique, followed by the recording technique. The
observation method was also used, utilizing basic eavesdropping techniques and
advanced techniques such as participatory observation, recording, and note-taking. In
the presentation of the analysis results, both formal and informal methods are
employed. Based on the discussion of the analysis results, the research titled
"Comparison of Vocabulary in the Dialect of Rejamulya Village, Kedungreja District,
with the Dialect of Bantar Village, Wanareja District, Cilacap Regency" reveals
differences in vocabulary forms and meanings, as well as similarities in vocabulary
forms and meanings.
