Abstract
Background : Circumcision is an act of cutting the prepuce of the penis so that the glans penis and the corona radiata are clearly visible. There are various kind of circumcision methods, which clamp method is one of them. Pain is one of the complications of circumcision, which usually begins one hour after anesthetic drug injection. The pain can be influenced by many factors, age is one among them. Objective : This study performed to determine the relationship between age and pain degree in clamp method circumcision. The research was performed in the Tegal Circumcision Clinic with quantitative analysis research. Method : A cross-sectional design was performed on 16 samples with Pearson’s test as a hypothesis test. Results : There is significancy in relationship between age and post circumcision pain using the clamp method with p value 0,001 (<0,05) and with an r value is 0,917. In this research, it means that the lower of the child’s age, the more severe of the pain is felt.
