Abstract
Forests as one of the determinants of life support and a source of people's welfare are increasingly declining, caused by environmental problems. This often happens in society, especially problems related to forest and land fires caused by the activities of the community or the government itself. The fire occurred in Pemalang Regency, precisely in Pegonsoran village, which burned Teak Forest. Environmental law enforcement is needed to reduce the occurrence of forest fires caused by human activities. This thesis aims to discuss how the settlement of teak forest fire cases in Pemalang Regency based on Law Number 41 of 1999 concerning Forestry. The research used is the normative juridical method accompanied by research as supporting data. The research specification used is descriptive analytical research, namely describing all the symptoms and facts and analyzing the current ones related to the Settlement of Teak Forest Fire Cases in Pemalang Regency based on Law Number 41 of 1999 concerning Forestry. The results of the study found that the settlement of teak forest fire cases in Pemalang Regency has not yet achieved optimal performance due to several obstacles that hinder the process of environmental law enforcement, from insufficient law enforcement officers, facilities and infrastructure that are still lacking support, and low public awareness about the importance of forests
