Abstract

SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Purbalingga is one of the Madrasah Aliyah in the
city of Purbalingga that implements a Quran memorization program. However,
sometimes the reality that runs is not in harmony with the concept designed.
Researchers found several cases where students did not deposit their memorization
at each meeting, for that this study aimed to determine "The effectiveness of the
Morning Tahfidz Program for memorization of students in class XI MIPA 1 SMA
Muhammadiyah 1 Purbalingga"
The type of research used in this study is qualitative research. In this study,
data collection techniques use sampling techniques by taking several samples from
the entire object of study. The object under study is not seen statically but views all
constructions of thought holistically because everything from the object is a unity
that cannot be interpreted in fragments which is then described the data obtained
The results showed that the implementation of the morning tahfidz program
at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Purbalingga was still relatively poor, marked by the
target of student memorization achievement which was only met by 46% of the
total sample of research. The target in question is the achievement of memorization
of at least juz 30 in three years of learning, besides that the assessment of
effectiveness is also based on the assessment of student reading, criteria that enter
the criteria for reading assessment, namely tajweed, fashahah, and fluency, this is
evidenced by the results of observations and interviews that have been conducted
by researchers and compare existing criteria with the reality that occurs. The author
found that there are still many students who have not reached the predetermined
target. Factors supporting the implementation of morning tahfidz are the will of
students, budget along with facilities and infrastructure from the school, and
motivation. Factors inhibiting the implementation of morning tahfidz are less time
allocation, differences in student memorization power, student background, and
uneven teacher attention to students. The teacher's solution so that the morning
tahfidz program runs effectively is by coordinating with parents to help improve
student memorization, establish more intense communication with students in order
to find out the problems experienced by students, increase discipline and firmness
of memorization targets that need to be achieved.
