Abstract
One of the learning practices that prospective Islamic Religious Education
teachers must have is knowledge of the curriculum. The curriculum is very
important in the educational process contained in schools, the curriculum is an
absolute requirement and has a central position as the center, process, guidelines,
path of education, source of concepts and foundation for educational institutions,
with the education curriculum will move in a directed manner and of course in
accordance with the objectives to be achieved. With the formation of an
independent curriculum, it is hoped that it will be an effort to restore and improve
learning after the Covid 19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine
the effectiveness of the application of an independent curriculum on the
completeness of learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects for
seventh grade students at SMP MBS Zam-Zam Muhammadiyah Cilongok
Banyumas.
This research uses qualitative research, the subjects in this study are
Islamic Religious Education Teachers and VII grade students of SMP MBS Zam-
Zam Muhammadiyah Cilongok. Data collection techniques in this study used
observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed
descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing.
The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of the application of
the independent curriculum by Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMP MBS
Zam-Zam Muhammadiyah Cilongok provides effective results on the
completeness of learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects in
class VII students including: 1) Teachers are proven to master the material better
2) There is a positive response from students in understanding the material
presented by the teacher 3) There are good student learning outcomes in learning
completeness. In this curriculum, the teacher uses appropriate learning methods,
such as lecture, question and answer, and drill (exercises) methods. In this case,
there are several supporting factors such as the support of the principal and school
management, adequate facilities and infrastructure, and the potential efforts of
teachers. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are limited learning time, and teachers'
difficulties in adapting to the Merdeka Curriculum.
