The Watumalang District in Wonosobo Regency is divided into 16 villages.
Binangun Village is one of the villages with relatively high risk and
vulnerability to landslides. The aim of this research is to find out the
adaptation methods to landslide disasters in terms of economic, structural,
and social aspects. The survey research employed a quantitative approach
to determine the adaptation methods of the community. Purposive sampling
techniques are used as the sampling method. Observation and
questionnaires are used to collect the data. Data analysis was performed
descriptively using quantitative methods, including frequency tables and
percentages.The research results indicate that the community's adaptation
methods to landslide disasters in the economic aspect are considered high.
However, in the structural aspect, it is categorized as low because some
members of the community are unaware that planting crops like "pete" or
teak is suitable in landslide-prone areas. As for social adaptation, it falls
into the high category.
