Abstract

Landslides are a type of natural disaster that results in loss of life and significant material damage, such as agricultural land destruction, residential areas, roads, bridges, irrigation, and other physical infrastructure. From 2021 to 2022, at least 25 landslide incidents were recorded in Kalibening District. This research aims to analyze the level of landslide vulnerability in Kalibening District, Banjarnegara Regency. The research method employed is quantitative descriptive. Spatial data regarding slope inclination, rainfall, soil type, rock type, and land use are analyzed using scoring methods and overlay techniques. The research results reveal that Kalibening District has three levels of landslide vulnerability: high vulnerability covering an area of 2,125.87 hectares (23.39%), moderate vulnerability covering an area of 6,256.11 hectares (68.65%), and low vulnerability covering an area of 735.01 hectares (8.05%). By mapping landslide vulnerability levels, this study provides information for local governments to develop comprehensive and coordinated disaster management plans, including risk identification, vulnerability mitigation, evacuation planning, and post-disaster recovery measures. Further research and more detailed analysis of landslide risk factors and predictive modeling of landslide occurrences are needed to understand the relationships between these factors better.
