Abstract

Several problems often occur in schools, including the lack of use of
learning media. This happens due to several factors, such as inadequate facilities
or teachers’ lack of mastery in using leaming media. Furthermore, the curriculum
in Indonesia has undergone several changes, which are expected to address the
existing issues in schools. This study aims to determine the implementation of the
use of learning media in the Merdeka curriculum in the subject of Islamic
Education class X at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Ajibarang.
This qualitative study uses observation, interviews, and documentation as
data collection techniques. The collected data were analyzed descriptively through
data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The study shows that various types of leaming media are used, including
audiovisual media such as LCD, projectors, laptops, and instructional videos,
while visual media used include learning modules, concept maps, and PowerPoint
presentations. The use of leaming media considers planning and media selection.
Furthermore, it was concluded that two factors influence the use of learning
media. The first factor is supporting factors, including the teachers’ educational
background, ability to operate media, and the availability of facilities. The
inhibiting factor, on the other hand, is the lack of media availability and the
teachers’ limited creativity.
