Abstract

Education has a major influence on the development of the times in the 21st
century. Because education is the main component in determining the improvement
of the quality of human resources, all people who work in the field of education are
required to develop their education according to the times. To be able to achieve
goals in learning, a strategy is needed. The strategy is made to achieve certain
goals, which means here, the strategy is to achieve learning goals. This study aims
to analyze and describe the strategies used by fiqh teachers at MTs Muhammadiyah
Sarwodadi Banjarnegara in improving the quality of learning Fiqh through the
Discovery-Inquiry approach.
The research method used was qualitative research with research subjects
namely fiqh subject teachers, and class VIII students of MTs Muhammadiyah
Sarwodadi Banjarnegara. Data is collected through direct investigations in the field
to look for various problems that are relevant to this research. Through data
collection techniques, class observations, interviews with Fiqh teachers, and
documentation related to Fiqh learning strategies at MTs Muhammadiyah
Sarwodadi Banjarnegara.
The results showed that the teacher's strategy in improving the quality of
fiqh learning through the Discovery-Inquiry approach at MTs Muhammadiyah
Sarwodadi Banjarnegara had gone well as expected by the school. This is because
the learning process goes through several stages, namely strategies, approaches,
and methods in the learning process using a mature Discovery-Inquiry method
implemented by a fiqh teacher. Supporting factors in the application of this
approach are: a) the support of the school principal and school management; b)
parental involvement; c) school environment. While the inhibiting factors are: a)
the limitations of students' initial knowledge; b) lack of teaching aids
