Abstract

Globalization which has affected various dimensions of life in general has increasingly had an impact in various fields, this influence has both positive and negative impacts. It is not easy for children who have not been able to divide their time properly and correctly to memorize the Alquran. Basically, they need motivation from their teacher to encourage them to learn to memorize the Alquran. Because teacher motivation to students is very important. In addition, memorization can also be facilitated by a strong desire or interest in students. This study aims to determine the teacher's role in increasing student learning motivation in the class XI tahfiz alquran subject at SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Purbalingga.
This research is a field research, with a qualitative research type. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results showed that the teacher's role in increasing student motivation in the class XI tahfiz alquran subject at SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Purbalingga was as a teacher, educator, mentor, model and role model, as well as a motivator
