In this era of advancement, particularly in education, many educational institutions are competing to enhance the quality of schools to attract the community. Prominent programs that serve as the school's identity, such as Quran memorization (tahfiz) learning, are being actively developed. This has become a source of enthusiasm for parents, as students learn general subjects and receive Quranic education. This research investigates whether the talaqqi method can enhance the Quran memorization ability of 8th-grade students Female Boarding School at Istiqomah Sambas Purbalingga.
This study adopts a classroom action research approach conducted over two cycles, with a sample of 13 students from the 8th grade who had low tahfiz skills. Data collection techniques employed in this research include observation, student ability tests (oral), and documentation.
This research indicates that Quran memorization abilities, assessed based on fluency, fashahah (pronunciation), and tajweed (rules of recitation), can be improved. The average test scores of student abilities showed the following results: in Cycle I, a good category was achieved with an average score of 65.9, while in Cycle II, it improved to an excellent category with an average score of 86.5
