Abstract

Construction projects consist of three main elements: timeliness of execution, cost
accuracy, and building quality. Lack of discipline regarding timelines can result in
project delays, leading to cost overruns. Therefore, it is essential to have proper
scheduling preparations before the project commences. This study aims to achieve
effective and efficient rescheduling using the Line of Balance method for the
Periodic Road Maintenance Project in Cilacap Regency. Another objective is to
improve the efficiency of utilizing Human Resources that can only operate on a
single road.
The research method involves data collection and scheduling using the Line of
Balance method, employing the finish-to-start concept where a task begins after its
preceding task is completed.
The results indicate a productivity increase consistent with the research objective.
The Line of Balance scheduling required one revision. The research approach to
enhancing productivity involves adjusting the schedule of preceding tasks to avoid
overlapping schedules with other tasks.
