There are several facts until now that the life of the Indonesian nation is still colored by various negative sides of people's behavior that illustrate the weak quality of tawhid creed so that the quality of Islam is also reduced. Therefore, Islamic education provides direction to all those responsible for education in the family, at school, and in the community as well as those who organize. Parents are the main element for the establishment of tawhid in the family, so parents must be able to educate their children about tawhid and materials that support it. In addition, children can see parents as role models who provide knowledge in addition to experience and direction. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of parents in tawhid education for children.
This research is a type of library research (Library Research) with data collection techniques, namely with literary data collecting library materials through reading written sources such as books, previous research, papers, journals, articles, report results and magazines that are continuous with the object of discussion under study. The data analysis method used in using this thesis is the content analysis method (Contect Analysis) this analysis is intended here is to analyze the meaning contained in the verses relating to the role of parents in instilling tawhid education to children in contemporary thematic tafsir studies.
This research shows that the role of parents in tawhid education for children is very important. A role is something that is part of or that holds responsibility especially in the occurrence of something. Then that role means the part that must be done in an activity. Based on the verses of the Koran obtained according to contemporary tafsir (tafsir Al-Azhar and Al-Mishbah) taking from the story of Prophet Ibrahim and also Luqman Al-Hakim, the role of parents in children's education is: nurturing, educating and also protecting and preparing children for their social life.
