Abstract

The variables impacting character formation in pupils ini this quickly changing era, where students socialise and act excessively above their age, include their environment and playmatrs. Students engage with their friends and spend most of their time at school. In the regard, teachers and the school community play a significant role in shaping students character. This research aims to understand the class teacher efforts, obstacles, and solutions in shaping students polite behaviour towards teachers.
This qualitative study uses data collection techniques such as interview, observations, and documantion. The deductive and inductive analysis model are used in the research process. The aim of this study is to comprehend the phenomenon experienced by a research subject, such as behavior, perception, motivation, and actions, by describing them in words.
The results of this study reveal that the efforts made by the class teacher to shape students polite behaviour towards teachers in the third grade of SD Budi Mulia Muhammadiyah Adiwerna involve setting an excellent example of maneers, respect, and consistent practice for the students. The obstacles faced by the class teacher in shaping students polite behaviour towards teachers in the third grade include different attitudes and characteristics of students, which require varied approaches to instilling character, ada well as occasional forgetfulness on the part of the students. The solution implemented by the class teacher in shaping students polite behaviour towards teachers in the third grade is to remaind students about the importance of polite behaviour consistenly.
