Actual Conditions of Branches and Sub-Branches: In terms of quantity, the number of Muhammadiyah Branches and especially Sub-Branches is still relatively low. Out of a total of 5,263 sub-districts in Indonesia, only 3,221 have Muhammadiyah Branches, accounting for about 61%. On the Sub-Branch level, the situation is even more critical, as there are only 8,107 Muhammadiyah Sub-Branches out of a total of 62,806 villages, which is only 12%. From the above figures, it is evident that the influence and popularity of Muhammadiyah have not been adequately reflected in its organizational quantity.
The objectives of this research are: 1) To understand the application of Islamic Leadership in guiding the congregation in the Cilopadang Muhammadiyah Sub-Branch. 2) To understand the application of Islamic Leadership in leadership, organization, and management within the Cilopadang Muhammadiyah Sub-Branch. 3) To understand the application of Islamic Leadership in charitable educational efforts within the Cilopadang Muhammadiyah Sub-Branch. 4) To understand the application of Islamic Leadership in the development of young Muhammadiyah cadres and their participation within the Cilopadang Muhammadiyah Sub-Branch. This research is of a qualitative nature. In order to obtain valid data, the author utilized data collection methods such as interviews, observations, and documentation. Data sources in this research are divided into primary and secondary sources. After the data has been collected, the author analyzed it using a qualitative descriptive method.
The results drawn from this research indicate that the application of Islamic Leadership by the leadership of the Cilopadang Muhammadiyah Sub-Branch is able to motivate the entire congregation of the Sub-Branch as well as sympathizers, leading to the emergence of an exemplary Muhammadiyah community by enhancing the spirit of community togetherness in the village of Cilopadang. This is particularly evident in the aspects of organization, congregation guidance, innovative efforts in the field of education, and the process of developing young Muhammadiyah cadres.
