Abstract
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a primary
necessity in everyday life and influences various aspects, including education. ICT
literacy is a crucial key to effectively and efficiently using digital technology. In the field
of Ismuba, ICT can be utilized to make learning more engaging and effective. The
importance of ICT literacy in students' understanding of Ismuba learning is
acknowledged as a long-term investment in enhancing human resources' quality to face
the era of globalization and technology. However, the integration of technology in
education also requires wise usage to avoid negative impacts. Therefore, research
regarding the benefits of ICT literacy for students' understanding of Ismuba learning is
important to provide alternative strategies in the learning process. This research aims
to describe the benefits of Information and Communication Technology literacy in
Ismuba learning in the 10th grade of Muhammadiyah Tambak High School. This study
employs a descriptive research approach with a qualitative method and involves
interviews with religious teachers and class guardians of the 10th grade at
Muhammadiyah Tambak Banyumas High School. The research results indicate that ICT
literacy in Ismuba learning at Muhammadiyah Tambak High School has significant
benefits in enhancing skills for using digital media, accessing information through the
internet, communication, and evaluating information sources. ICT literacy also
provides benefits in improving students' comprehension by creating interest and
creativity in learning. Supporting factors for ICT literacy include school support with
adequate facilities, but there are also inhibiting factors such as differences in
backgrounds, students' lack of discipline in accessing digital media, and uneven
classroom facilities. Despite limitations in this research, information and
communication technology literacy still has benefits in enhancing students'
understanding at Muhammadiyah Tambak High School. Therefore, alternative
strategies in the learning process are needed to ensure good information and
communication technology literacy, enabling students to face the developments of the
era more prepared and competent in the age of globalization
