Abstract
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum Mill.) is a high-value agricultural commodity. One way to enhance tomato plant productivity is through fertilization. The majority of agricultural lands in Indonesia have been degraded due to intensive chemical fertilization, prompting the need for a combination of nitrogen fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems. This research aims to determine the optimal dosage of nitrogen fertilizer and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems for the growth and yield of tomato plants. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Factorial Design (CRD), with two factors. The first factor: nitrogen fertilizer dosage with 3 levels (0 kg/ha, 250 kg/ha, 500 kg/ha) per polybag. The second factor: concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems with 3 levels (0 ml L-1, 325 ml L-1, 650 ml L-1), each treatment was replicated three times. The research results indicate that the application of nitrogen fertilizer with a dosage of 500 kg/ha (2.70 g urea/polybag) had the most positive effect on the growth and yield of tomato plants. Soil without the application of liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems also had a significant impact on the growth and yield of tomato plants, resulting in the highest fruit count of 7.62 fruits per plant. Additionally, there was no significant interaction between the nitrogen fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer from banana stems treatments on the growth and yield of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum Mill.).
