Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out students' perceptions on the use of online dictionaries in learning vocabulary and find out online dictionaries that frequently used by students. This research comprised 56 respondents which are students in semester two at one university located in Purwokerto. Quantitative descriptive is used as a method in this research. The instrument in this research is questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The results of this study showed that students' perceptions of using online dictionaries are in the very high category. It means that online dictionaries can provide benefits for developing students in learning vocabulary. Meanwhile the online dictionaries frequently used by students are Google Translate followed by U-Dictionary and Duolingo.
