Abstract

This research is motivated by the observation that in-class habituation
practices are not consistently followed by all students and the changes in the
curriculum the require teachers to learn about the implementation of the Pancasila
student profile. The primary purpose of this research is to reveal in the
implementation, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors of the habituation
program in shaping the Pancasila student profile in the fourth-grade students at SD
UMP. The study employed a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects
consisted of the school principal, fourth-grade teachers, and fourth-grade students
at SD UMP. The study was conducted at SD UMP in the Kembaran District from
April to June 2023. Data collection was conducted through interviews,
observations, and document analysis. The validity of the data used triangulation
techniques. Data analysis techniques involved processing raw data, reading and
coding the data, organizing data into themes or descriptions, and finally, analizing
the data to draw conclusions. The findings of this research reveal that the
implementation of the habituation program at SD UMP includes direct instruction,
providing role models, offering experiences, and disciplinary measures. These
practices are carried out in school environment and during classroom learning to
shape the Pancasila student profiles. The values emphasized in the student profiles
include faith, fear of God, noble conduct, global diversity, mutual cooperation,
critical thinking, creativity, and independence. Supporting factors for implementing
habituation practices in forming Pancasila student profile in the fourth-grade
students at SD UMP include student willingness, participation, the school and
family environment, school management overseen by the principal, and parental
involvement. Inhibiting factors encompass individual student attitudes, teacher
enthusiasm, and challenges faced by students in creating project due to the lack of
materials and equipment.
