This research aims to understand the profile of the farmer group and its
members, challenges and solutions, as well as the role of Ganda Arum I Farmer
Group in increasing vegetable crop productivity in Gandatapa Village, Sumbang
District, Banyumas Regency. The main objective of the study is to enhance
vegetable crop productivity in Gandatapa Village. The research employs a
qualitative-quantitative descriptive analysis method. Both primary and secondary
data are used in this research. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling,
involving 27 active farmers. The research findings indicate that the farmer group
was established in 2005, with its first chairman being Raswirejo, and it currently
comprises 27 active vegetable farmers.
Challenges faced by Ganda Arum I Farmer Group include pest and disease
problems, and difficulty in finding markets. Solutions proposed include subsidies
for fertilizers and agricultural medications, as well as suggesting marketing their
produce to trusted collectors.
The role of Ganda Arum I Farmer Group in increasing vegetable crop
productivity is assessed to have an average total score of 204.33, categorized as
moderately influential in fulfilling its duties and functions as a learning class, a
collaboration platform, and a production unit.
