Kalibening district is an area of concern due to frequent landslide disasters that result in
significant losses. Understanding the community's capacity in disasters is crucial as it provides
a real picture of their readiness to face such events. While disaster threats can occur at any
time, if communities possess the ability to respond effectively, the risks associated with
disasters can be mitigated. This study aims to determine the community's knowledge about
landslide disasters. The research employs a survey method with quantitative descriptive data
management. Purposive sampling is utilized as the sampling technique. The data analysis
technique in this study is a quantitative description, involving the use of frequency tables,
percentages, and scoring. The research findings reveal that the community's knowledge about
categorizing landslide disaster management in Kalibening district, evaluated based on aspects
such as disaster mitigation knowledge, landslide control knowledge, infrastructure system
knowledge, and knowledge during landslide response, is scored at 76%, indicating a high level
of knowledge.
