Information System (IS) is a regulated method for collecting, entering and
processing and storing data, and a regulated method for reporting, controlling,
managing, and even storing information so that organizations can achieve goals. A
good information system can be seen from the level of governance capability of the
system. One of the applications of information systems at Muhammadiyah
University is the Information System for New Student Admissions (PMB), this
system is web-based and multi-user. The audit standard used is Control Objectives
for Information Technology (COBIT). The selected COBIT-5 domain is the DSS05
Manage Security Services domain which will later be used where this process can
classify problems and their root causes which provide timely resolutions and also
provide recommendations for improvement. The result is that the Capability Level
obtained as a whole at PMB UMP is level 1 and the target level to be achieved is
level 0 to level 5, so based on the analysis in outline there is a need for
recommendations, namely maximizing what is already going well and innovating
in activities to accelerate goal achievement.
