Loss is the reduction or damage to the value of an object or a thing caused
by an event, whether direct or indirect, while value is defined as a price or
inherent function of an object or thing. Kalibening District is located in
Banjarnegara Regency. This study aims to determine the loss in land use for
residential and agricultural purposes in Kalibening District, Banjarnegara
Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method. The population
in this study includes residential and agricultural land use, with a total area of
10,284 hectares in Kalibening District. The sample for this study consists of
sampled areas, selected based on the criteria of landform and land use, easily
accessible regions, and carried out at four different locations representing
different land use categories with varying levels of vulnerability. The data used
in this research include both primary and secondary data. The primary data
includes the total loss of residential buildings and yearly agricultural yields due
to landslide disasters. The secondary data include landforms, land use, and
vulnerability class data. Data analysis employs a quantitative descriptive
approach to determine the loss level due to landslides. The research findings
indicate three levels of landslide-related losses in residential and agricultural
land use: low loss level, covering a total area of 108 hectares or 13.2%;
moderate loss level, covering a total area of 3,105 hectares or 41.2%; and high
loss level, covering a total area of 7,055 hectares or 45.6%.
