With the emergence of Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, it
provides opportunities for Village Governments to carry out government
management activities independently, as well as providing opportunities for
the community to participate in community participation in village
management. In order to realize democracy in Indonesia as a whole and
evenly divided in each region, villages are targeted from below to build a fair
democracy in order to realize democracy in the integrity of the Unitary State
of the Republic of Indonesia. Law Number 6 of 2004 concerning Villages has
strengthened the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in assisting the
management of village governments, and became a village consultative
institution. The Village Consultative Body (BPD) is also a partner of the
Village Head to discuss together the management of the existing APBDes and
Village Regulations, as well as being a supervisor in the performance of the
Village Head in making decisions and policies to realize the welfare of the
village community. The problem that the author will discuss later is about the
role and obstacles experienced by BPD in supervising the APBDes in Pamijen
Village, Sokaraja District, Banyumas Regency. The research conducted by the
author aims to determine the role and constraints experienced by BPD in
monitoring the APBDes in Pamijen Village, Sokaraja District, Banyumas
Regency. The method in research conducted by the author is normative
juridical, by examining existing literature materials or secondary data. The
result of the research conducted by the author is the role of BPD in carrying
out its function as an institution that accepts the aspirations of the community,
and maintains a balance between the village community and the Village
Government. And the obstacles experienced by BPD in conducting
supervision related to the management of APBDes by the Village Head, as
well as supervising the performance and decisions of the Village Head.
