Abstract

The research aims to determine Science teachers necessity in implementing
Kurikulum Merdeka at public high schools in Banyumas Regency. The type of
research was mixed methods. The data collection used were questionnaires,
interviews, and observations. The data was analyzed by percentage techniques. The
results of research show that teachers strongly agree (82,5%) with necessity for
several learning tools in implementing Kurikulum Merdeka. The learning tools
needed by teachers include a learning plan document (74%) that containing
interactive learning (85%), Assessment (85%), and a report on students’ learning
progress (84%). The conclusion of research show that Science teachers necessity in
implementing Kurikulum Merdeka mostly specified needed in the following
matters: 1) Understanding how to apply the Pancasila student profile in the learning
process, 2) Understanding the components of learning plan document, 3)
Conducting varied learning methods, 4) Designing interactive learning, 5) Utilizing
the Pancasila students profile to build character and competencies of students, 6)
Designing assessment according to students readiness in learning, 7) Planning
assessment by considering the achievement of learning objectives, 8) Considering
students’ reflection results as an evaluation of learning achievement, 9) Compiling
a concise report on students’ learning progress, 10) Using assessment results as a
discussion material for things that need to be improved.
