Abstract

Religiosity values are essential to be instilled in everyone, including students at school. The efforts to instill these values involve multiple parties to make them a reality. Within the school environment, teachers, especially Islamic education teachers, play a crucial role in instilling these values. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to determine the role of Islamic religious education teachers in instilling religiosity values in the students of SMP Negeri 1 Larangan.
This research is a field research type with a descriptive approach. The research subjects are the Islamic education teachers and the students of SMP Negeri 1 Larangan. Data are collected by interviews, observations, and documentation, followed by analysis using data reduction, data display, and conclusion.
The results of this research indicate that the role of Islamic education teachers in instilling religiosity values in the students of SMP Negeri 1 Larangan is through education, guidance, exemplary behavior, and motivation. The implementation of instilling religiosity values in students is done through direct classroom learning when delivering Islamic education materials and through activities outside the classroom, such as habitual prayers, kultum (short religious talks) after Dhuhr prayer, extracurricular activities, and short-term Islamic boarding school programs
