Abstract

The purpose of this study is to Application of Sharia Principles in the Management of Hotel Namira Syariah Surabaya Based on Fatwa DSN-MUI No.108/DSN-MUIIX/2016 and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing sharia principles at Hotel Namira Syariah Surabaya.
This research is a type of qualitative research. The data collection techniques in the form of non-participant observation, interviews and documentation. The data processing and data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative.
This study's results indicate that Hotel Namira Syariah Surabaya has met the standards as a sharia hotel because it has implemented Islamic principles well in hotel operational activities in accordance with the provisions contained in
Fatwa DSN-MUI NO.108/DSN-MUI/X/2016 concerning Guidelines for Implementation of Tourism Based on Sharia Principles. The supporting factor is that all employees in all parts of sharia provide the best possible performance in accordance with their duties and authorities in implementing sharia hotel service procedures, as well as full support from hotel directors. The inhibiting factor is several employees who are still in the status of apprenticeship or training at Hotel Namira Syariah Surabaya, who are not familiar and have to adapt to all the rules at Hotel Namira Syariah which are based on sharia principles.
