Abstract
Traditional markets are often associated with dirty and smelly areas and will get
worse when it rains. Because of the lack of effective use of tarpaulins and wooden
poles that are assembled as roof coverings. This can also be exacerbated when the
intensity of rain is high and strong winds. There needs to be a revitalization,
especially on the roof cover with a sturdier material. This research contains
optimization of the structure of the traditional market Space Frame in Demangsari
Village, Ayah District, Kebumen Regency with Modell Barrel Vaults and Flat Cover
width of 50meter. This optimization aims to compare between the two planned
models and look for the most optimal structure. Design modelling using SAP 2000
v22 application with extrude, define extrusion, and then 3d circular arc tools.
Optimization aspects in the form of Displacement, Period, Structure Weight,
number of bars, and number of joints obtained from SAP 2000 v22 modelling. The
locations reviewed are in Demangsari Village, Ayah District, Kebumen Regency.
The structure is planned to use ASTM A53 Grade B steel pipe with BJ Steel quality
of 50 fy 290. Nominal used steel pipe 4inch is oll4.3mm, 6.02mm thickness and
nominal size 6inch ol68.3mm, 7.llmm thickness. Zincalume Steel Plate roof cover
width 700 mm thickness 0.45 weight 3.38 kg!m. Bolt A325m diameter 30mm with
hole 33mm. From the structure analysis peiformed in SAP 2000 v22, it can be
concluded that the Space frame Modell Barrel Vaults has displacement value, and
the period is smaller, lighter weight, the number of frames is less than flat cover.
And only on the part joints a_( Space Frame Modell more than Flat Truss. This shows
the Space Frame Modell Barrel Vaults are more optimal than Flat Cover.
