Abstract

The development of photography technology on Android smartphone cameras enables the development of edge detection feature. This process produces edges on image objects to improve image details that are blurry due to errors or effects of image acquisition processes. Edge detection requires several supporting methods, one of which is the Canny operator. The Canny edge detection method is proven to be the most effective with minimal error rates compared to other edge detection methods, and can produce object edge lines in real-time on Android smartphone cameras. The skin is the outermost layer that covers the entire human body, including the face. Facial skin must be maintained because, besides being an identity symbol, having healthy facial skin is everyone's dream. To maintain the skin, a technique or application that can quickly analyze skin diseases without the help of paramedics is required.
