This study described the forms and the impacts of premartial sexual behavior in
the novel Dark Love by Ken Terate. It was a descriptive qualitative study. The source
of the data was the novel Dark Love by Ken Terate. While the data in this study were
words, phrases, and sentences in Dark Love which contained forms and impacts of
premartial sexual behavior. An approach to the psychology of literature was used in
this study. Reading and note-taking were conducted as data collection techniques. The
theory of triangulation was used to test the validity of the data. The data analysis
technique used was critical discourse analysis.The results of this research, namely (1)
touching, (2) dating, (3) kissing, (4) petting, (5) intercouse. While the impact of
premartial sexual behavior is psychology effects from premarital sexual behavior such
as: feelings of anger, fear, depression, low self-esteem, guilty feeling, sin, anxiety, and
uncomfortable.2) physiological effects such as: unwanted pregnancy and desire for
abortion.
