Abstract
The population increase in Karangpucung District is due to the fact that
Karangpucung District still has a lot of empty land The factors that cause
population density are birth (fertility), death (mortality), and population movement
(migration). The increasing population in Karangpucung sub-district encourages
good population data collection because population data is needed in planning and
evaluation in an area. The population data collection process usually still uses a
manual system which causes high data invalidity and mismatches. Constraints in
manual data collection led to inaccurate search for information on residents. The
Population Density Mapping Geographical Information System functions to make
it easier to record and manage population growth data. This system is presented in
map form through openstreetmap support. The method used to design the system is
using the SDLC (System Development Life Cyle) method with the wateifall model.
The Geographical Information System developed is able to provide information on
geographic data on population density mapping in Karangpucung Sub-District.
