Abstract

This study aimed to determine the types of repetitive language styles found in the poetry anthology of Sajak-Sajak Matahari by PBSI (Indonesian Language and Literature) 2017 students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The benefits of this research were theoretically expected to add to the richness of research in the language field, especially the use of repetitive language styles contained in the poetry anthology of Sajak-Sajak Matahari by PBSI 2017 students. In addition, it contributed to the development of linguistics in stylistic studies, especially regarding repetitive language styles in literary works like poetry. Practically, this research was expected to be used as a source of research for other researchers who wish to study similar things. It was qualitative research. This research was conducted through three stages: the data collection stage, the data analysis stage, and the data presentation stage. The data were in the form of stanzas or arrays containing repetition in the poetry anthology of Sajak-Sajak Matahari by PBSI 2017 Students. Then, the data collection techniques were carried out using reading and note-taking techniques. The data in this study were analyzed using content analysis techniques. Based on the study's results, the researcher found six types of repetitive language styles. They were epizeukis repetition, tautotes repetition, simploke repetition, anaphoric repetition, epistrophe repetition, and mesodiplosis repetition. The styles were 3, 1, 3, 33, 14, and 9, respectively.
