Abstract

This study aimed to determine the profile of farm workers, their work patterns, and the time allocation spent by the workers in Kutabawa Village, Karangreja Subdistrict, Purbalingga Regency. The method used in this research was a mixed method with a case study design. The data used in this study were primary and secondary. Simple Random Sampling was used in this study since the population was large and homogeneous. The result showed that the profiles of tobacco farm workers consisted of gender, age, education level, number of dependents, length of the profession as farm workers, and other jobs besides being tobacco farm workers in Kutabawa Village, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency. The work pattern of the workers consists of weeding/preparing the land, fertilizing, and spraying pests/planting seeds. The time allocation for tobacco farming workers was all forms of farmer activities, starting from activities outside the field and in the field.
