Abstract
This study aims to determine activities to strengthen student nationalism in SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah 02 Purwokerto which includes intra-curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and the factors that hinder its implementation. The research subjects are parties in the school environment, namely the principal, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation.The results showed, 1) The implementation of the nationalism strengthening program at SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah 02 Purwokerto was quite good, this was indicated by the well-implemented intra-curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in the school environment. 2) Factors that hinder the growth of nationalism in SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah 02 Purwokerto are the availability of time and the lack of harmony with parents. 3) Efforts to overcome obstacles in strengthening nationalism character education through school programs at SD Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah 02 Purwokerto, namely through program socialization at the beginning of the semester and monthly routine activities. Meanwhile, teachers take various ways in learning activities so as to encourage the emergence of a spirit of nationalism in students.
