This study aims to describe the form of violation of the principle of conversation at TPI Jetis Beach, Cilacap Regency in 2022. The research data is in the form of conversational discourse between traders and buyers when making buying and selling transactions at TPI Jetis Nusawungu Beach, Cilacap Regency. Sources of research data are traders and buyers at TPI Pantai Jetis, Nusawungu, and Cilacap Regency. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. This research stage went through three stages, namely (1) providing data using the listening method with the basic technique being tapping techniques, as an advanced technique namely noting techniques. (2) analyzing the data using the referential equivalent method, and (3) presenting the results of analyzing the results using an informal method. The results of this study found violations of the principle of conversation in the speech of traders and buyers at TPI Pantai Jetis which includes the principle of cooperation and the principle of politeness. The principle of cooperation includes: (1) the maxim of quantity, three data, (2) the maxim of quality of five data, (3) the maxim of the relevance of one data, 4) the maxim of implementation of one data, the principle of politeness includes: (1) the maxim of the wisdom of two data, ( 2) the maxim of generosity is five points, (3) the maxim of praise is three points, (4) the maxim of humility, (5) the maxim of agreement is one point (6) the maxim of sympathy.
