Abstract

The recent phenomenon is that women are starting to like Muslimah clothing which is a trend in society. Women are competing to wear Muslim clothing when leaving the house. However, unfortunately the clothes worn are not in accordance with the criteria prescribed by Islam. A lot of clothes are now showing patterns, models, colors, sizes that keep changing with the times. The purpose of this research is to find out the thoughts of Muhammad Nashiruddin Al-Bani about Muslimah clothing and its relevance to morals and behavior as a self-presentation in the reality of a Muslimah's life. This type of research is library research with a qualitative approach. The primary source is Muhammad Nashiruddin Albani's book entitled Muslimah Syar'i Clothing. Secondary sources in the form of books, journals, and other research that has relevance to research. The data collection technique used by the author in this study is documentation. To analyze the data the author uses data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive deductive analysis methods. The results of the study show that there are several criteria for Muslim women's clothing that are syar'i according to Muhammad Nashiruddin Albani, namely covering the entire body except for those that are excluded, not in the form of jewelry, must be thick and not transparent, not tight so that it does not reveal, must not be perfumed, does not resemble men's clothing - men, not resembling women's clothing infidels, and the last one is not in the form of shuhrah clothes. According to Shaykh Muhammad Nashiruddin al-Albani, wearing syar'i clothing for Muslim women is an obligation where a woman who has worn syar'i clothing means that she has followed and practiced the teachings of Islam and the path taken by the wives of Rasulullah SAW (ummahatul mukminin). The relevance of a Muslim woman who wears syar'i clothing with her morals in everyday life includes a Muslim woman who always tries to obey the commands of Allah SWT, always maintains a simple appearance and covers her genitals so that she remains syar'i in accordance with the rules set by shari'at, not shaking hands with men who are not her mahram, always doing good deeds to win Allah's religion, enthusiasm in fulfilling the obligations of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, and she is a Muslim woman who is devoted to her parents, she always protects and limits herself so that the men of ajnabi will not easily tease her let alone tarnish her, she will become a respectable woman.
