Abstract

Media in education plays an important role in learning. Media is also an important component in the learning process, not only as a supporting tool. Therefore, in choosing learning media, teachers are expected to be creative and innovative in accordance with the times. One medium that is easy to use is Canva media. Media Canva is an application that can be accessed via the internet. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of Canva media in increasing students' learning interest in class XI at SMA MBS Zam-Zam Cilongok Banyumas.
This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research by trying to describe or explain existing problem solving by using data. The research subjects in this study were school principals, educators/teachers, and also class XI students. Data collection techniques were interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the results of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results of this study indicate that the use of instructional media can increase students' interest in learning. By selecting appropriate and interesting learning media, learning can increase student interest in learning. Because learning media is one of the factors in the success of the learning process and can increase student learning interest. In the implementation of the research, it was revealed that the use of appropriate and interesting media can increase students' learning interest which is marked by students following the beginning of learning to the end of learning with enthusiasm and feelings of pleasure in learning. Furthermore, students are also interested in the material taught by the teacher. At the time of learning students pay attention to the material presented by the teacher and students are also active in asking questions related to the material being taught. The learning media used are Power Point, LED TV, LCD projector, learning videos, and pictures related to learning materials.
